Pet behavior is learnt when dogs are very young so puppy training is important because it can determine how your dog will act in later life.

There are all sorts of training programs for puppies and young dogs but most of them share the idea that puppies need gentle instruction and should not be frightened into doing what you want. Gentle training includes rewards for your dog whenever they do the right thing and this positive reinforcement helps to bond puppies and their owners as trust and understanding builds up between them. Puppies need education for all sorts of things including house training so they know not to go to the toilet just anywhere at home. Some puppies also get so excited that they wet themselves and this can be prevented by proper training.

Young dogs also need discipline so that they come when called, only bark when they should, don’t chew up the furniture or jump all over the house, and so that they know how to interact with other dogs. Socializing is very important because your puppy needs to know how to act properly around other dogs otherwise it can be too aggressive with them or far too timid!

Puppy training can establish your dog’s behavior for life, but it is also an important way of getting to know your pet and the bond that training creates is just as useful as the education your young dog gets.
